Valentines Day

Early Valentines Day....

Last night Matt and I went to see "Cats" at Bass Hall in Fort Worth. Matt and I love the theater and have enjoyed several shows. I must say "Cats" was very different from anything else. However, there was an enormous amount of talent from all the characters and I enjoyed the dancing and the music. The woman who sang "Memories" was incredible. Thank you Matt for a wonderful evening! I love you....

Looking Back

Matt was finally able to get our pictures on my computer (It's old and slow) so now I have no -or maybe less- excuses to get this started. The new year so far has been uneventful so I thought I would post some of our adventures from the past several years........

Christmas 2008

This year our Christmas present was Skiing in Utah. We flew out Christmas day and stayed in Salt Lake. They had a snow storm the night we arrived closing the ski resorts for our first day of skiing. So, the next day we went ice skating and played in the snow. We were not prepared to play in the snow with out ski's so we made a quick trip to Walmart. Logan bought trash bags and duct tape. Matt wrapped the kids feet up in trash bags and tape calling them our Texas snow shoes. The kids climbed up the hills and rolled down. By the end of the day their bags were torn and their feet were wet and cold.... but as you can imagine they didn't care they were having too much fun. The kids did great Skiing and Snowboarding. By the end of the first day they were coming down blue's and jumping hills. I enjoyed my time in the cabin reading the Twilight series for the first time (Absolutely loved them and have stared reading them again).

Summer 2008

Here is a picture of Tanner and Madison. I just thought they were so cute so I put them here. Every time Madison gets her hair cut it gets shorter and shorter (and cuter). Now her hair is at her chin. She loves it short and her dad loves to tease her about always cutting it.

Fall 2008

We went Camping to Inks Lake in October. One of the attractions there is called Enchanted Rock. It is a Granite hill and at the top is a "cave" to climb down. Spelunking (sp?) was a new adventure for me and the kids and we LOVED it. We look forward to visiting other caves this fall.

Big Sur, California

Matt's job takes him all over the place and occasionally I get to join to him. I am so glad I did not pass this up - It was my favorite place and I can't wait to take the kids there someday. These pictures were taken at Big Sur, California. I think it was March or April 2007.

Matt ran his first full marathon in 2007. It required an extensive amount of time and dedication. I guess it is no surprise that he finished. Words can not express the excitement and pride felt as he crossed the finish line!

Disney World October 2007

This was an early Christmas present. Our kids were the perfect age - 6, 9, 11, 13 (well almost). The days were full of rides, shows, and parades. Each day ended with an out of this world firework show and parades. After our 5 days in Disney World we spent a day at the Beach.
